I just tried to upload a file (1 MB) to my ftp site and it gave me this message:

    144: Local File Error
    12003:450 Write Error
    Disk Quota Exceeded

I figured that I might be near the max so I deleted a bunch of files equalling about 7 MB and it still gives me the same error message. There should be plenty of room now or does the fact that I attempted to go over screw up the whole thing?

I tried uploading a small 6KB file and I still got the error. I went in and deleted another 15 MB worth of stuff and still got "quota exceeded."

It makes me wonder if they have to reset something once you attempt to go over the quota to "clear the space." Yesterday, before I deleted anything I was still able to upload small files, and today I deleted about 25 MB total and I can't upload anything, so it can't technically be a space issue anymore.

On the webhosting site, I went into the disk usage page and it showed me how much memory I using and where but it didn't show me what my quota or limit was.

CPanel or WHM doesn't automatically synchronize everytime you do something, but more like once a day, depending on some different factors. Give it a few days or contact the server admin.
