Aren't mini-dvds more expensive? I thought getting a new case for it so that there's space to use normal dvd-5 discs would be the best idea...

well I've seen Ritek G04 MiniDVD-Rs for US$10.99 (AU$14.50ish)for a 20-pack spindle, weigh that up between normal-size DVDs and a full-size case mod

EDIT: another update on the tutorial. I'm almost finished the basic setup\rip\stream guide. after I've finished those, I'll start on other apps, image managemant, wiping, cleaning, memory card backup, stuff like that. after that...maybe burning GCMs to MiniDVDs and using a streamable bios to boot them.

congrats again on making this tutorial and even mentioning things you might include (streamable bios) because i too have no idea how it were to be done unless it was allready in a tutorial i knew and trusted!

Hey linfox, sorry its been so long since i have replied or even given this tutorial a go but ive moved out of my old place and been unable to access the internet but now im finally back!! Thank you so much for putting in the hard yards and making this tutorial, SCREENSHOTS AND ALL! Im about to head down to EB and pick up a pre-owned GC but just had one question.....do all of the GC's mod this was or doesnt it work with the new versions of GC? If so, which ones will work and which wont?

anyway really the only reason I'm here was to ask if anyone has this IP addy: 144.135.253.129
This guy's been trying to download off my ftp for an hour or two, and I thought he was spamming me with some sort of DOS attack, but then I realised the cubetutorial account had no qouta left and he was just trying do DL the guide.
Anyway as long as I'm here Il'l say a few things. One, filthbro, as I don't actually use any modchips and my cube was bought around the release date, I'm not sure about newer consoles and modchip compat.
However softmods should work just fine.
Two, I probably won't be updating the tutorial anymore, unless I'm profusely bored. I have other things I'm doing( sitting, sleeping,you get the idea).
Feel free to donate money to me though (check my sig), that might get my pencil(keyboard) moving. (That was the stupidest cheap thing I've said today. All I want is money )

Anyway, I probably won't post here again unless somehting happens, like I get off my a$$ and update the guide.

I was just going through my website getting rid of some old files when I realised I still had this guide. Since I had a few spare minutes, I felt like updating it a little. It's still messed up and outdated though.

Maybe I'll do one more update later and then call it the final version. Then I'll just leave it alone forever.
