Thanks anyway - this is doing my head in nicely.
I have several images & can load no probs but its just backing up. I will try phoenix 2.2 & try build a stand alone machine for it but i just feel i am missing one step.

In gamecube server do you run create md5 sumcheck or GCMWipe before or after backing up the image.

Everyone i know run ps2 which sux im only person with a gc & after reading this thread i brought the stuff to backup images had no luck ):

    madman917,
Since the Broadband Adaptor can currently only run at 10 mbits/second, a lot of things will run choppy regardless of the loader, settings, etc. It just can't stream it fast enough. Yeah, I know, a bit of a pain compared to the rather simplistic modding on the Xbox and PS2, but hey, you've gotta hand it to Nintendo, they put a lot of effort into security on this thing...

Ummm... with most hubs, I dont think you can. You would probably need a router or a switch. Most Hubs won't forward a DHCP IP or direct IP address as far i know, and this is quite vital to getting online ;) . Only a very select amount of hubs can do so. But just in case, i'll just make sure youre connecting to the hub with patch cables? If you arent, then you should be :p .

Sorry if this was asked before, but do you need to subscribe to the PSO thing when you have to pay per month?

No, a gameplay subscription is not necessary to stream games from the PC to the Gamecube.

    Hi,

I am using a PAL gamecube. Will I be able to stream Ntsc/Jap games to it and be able to run them? My tv can handle 60 hz...

I have yet to try backing up a Gamecube memory card to the PC therefore, I know nothing about it. If you try it and it works please do post so others can learn. Since I moved I have yet to network my Gamecube to my LAN as I have yet to finish cabling the place.

    Indienemo:

Yes you can play PAL/NTSC imports provided that your TV will display them. You can even wire a PAL/NTSC switch into your Gamecube to change the desired signal output.

Phantasy Star Online I&II unfortunately is a rare find these days. It didn't become popular until the BBA exploit was discovered. I managed to find one new in stores for $50 right before the BBA exploit became well known and even then BBA's were extremely hard to find due to lack of popularity for the game (only online game at the time).
