gameboy sp help.....

    i know this is the ds forum but i didnt see a sp forum...
    my daughter has the sp and is trying to use the link cable to transfer data between 2 gameboy sp's...mainly the pokemon game...when she tries to exchange pokemon it say's { please wait or press B to cancel}
    what are we doing wrong?...thanks

    Are you using an older pokemon game, or is it a GBA pokemon game, also are you using a cable designed specificly for gba, or one of the older ones? Reason I'm asking is this, in my experience if you have a GB/GBC game, you can link play between your GBA's, but ONLY when using a GBC link cable. Same thing the other way around, if you're using a GBC link cable but a GBA game, this could cause your problem.

    im using pokemon fire red GBA in the sp...the cable is supposed to be for GBA...it's the blue cable with nothing in the middle {i have seen cables with a little box in the middle of the cable}.
