I was told that there is software that you can run on your gamecube from a disk that will allow it to play burnt gamecube games without modifying the gamecube in anyway. Is this true?

If your talking about a swapdisc, I don't think they ever made one.
Your best bet would be to go with action replay--->link.

Edit:whoops not action replay, max drive pro

I read that action replay allows you to play imported games on a u.s. game cube and vise vera. Could it allow you to play burnt U.s.(not import) games on a u.s. gamecube???

Don't think that action replay alone will do the job. My recommendation is to get a chip. XenoGC chip specifically. It boots all your backups and originals and cost about $15.

The easiest way is to purchase a Hitachi LG DVD Drive, I believe the exact model is LG-814b or sumthing like that...there are also other models that work but i dont remember off the top of my head. These drives are the currently the only ones that can read Gamecube/Wii discs. Theres always the BBA method using Phantasy Star, or you could download the backup
