GDR-8164BK LG drive is not working

    I bought a LG GDR-8164BK at newegg the other day and installed it fine. When I powered up the comp, it lists the drive as NmGt-st DVDR_mnGms=56ub and now my other dvd drive is not even listed. I've tried switching cords and changing to another IDE slot on the mobo, but alas, nothing has worked... Do I need to update the firmware, and if so, where can I get it and how do I do it?

    nm, fixed it, i dont know how to delete the thread, so...
