    Hello all,

I was wondering if anybody could guide me to a chart or a general rule of thumb for media conversion. For example how long it would take to convert an AVI to MPEG (I know, this has some variables such as bit rate, file size, computer speed, etc so I know that already)

Basically what I need is the "Math"part sort of like what the DivX calculator does but with other types of media.

I'm not sure if something like this even exists but any pointers would be great.

    Thanks to all!

    Hey Chanta,

    First, Welcome to AfterDawn!

Second, have you tried doing a search using AfterDawn's Search Feature? There are countless threads out there that have asked the same general question you just did and they have loads of information. If you need the link, here it is:

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/search/

Also, you may want to check out the guides in the Guides Section of AfterDawn, as well as Dawnload.net, AfterDawn's program site.

    Hope this helps!

    ;)
