Gerry...Help! (Receiver suggestions)

Hi JVC...very nice speakers! I know I've seen them before but can't for the life of me remember where. No, I don't have the ohms, I have mirage all the way around, but a friend of mine has them. Initially, I thought he was nuts buying speakers he never heard...he'd only read reviews and was sold on them without ever hearing them; they don't sell them through retailers but only through the factory so I thought he was crazy. He did well though, they sound great even if they look bizarre as hell.

As for mine, I'm very content with what I've got...in fact, they downright awesome, but my system put me in the damn poorhouse so they'd better last forever LOL!!

I knew you didn't use those. You mentioned in a post above, that you used Mirage. I was just messin' with you, since they were expensive speakers.

I know what you mean, about better last forever. My system isn't high end, and it's been paid for, for awhile. I would like to upgrade some stuff, but can't now. The upgrade I want most right now is a new JVC (who would have guessed?) 56" or 61" HD-ILA wide screen television. The new 1080p sets are very nice. They've gone all black now, and will match my equipment. I think the JVC HD-ILA, and Sony's SXRD are the best tvs on the market right now. I think I read in Sound & Vision magazine, that they think so too. Maybe one day, in the not too distant future.......
