I see in other posts you tell them to update the drivers and include a link, I checked out the pages but I would have no idea which one to use. I just did an upgrade from nero.
    Thanks

[bold]Firstly, it's not a good idea to hijack other threads, you may be missed or ignored[/bold]
Update to 6.6.0.18 from here http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
Free up some memory, dont multitask while burning, turn off all unnecessary programs including spyware

Although you are using good media and burner this is too fast, slow to 4X

Heres a bit on this error
[bold] BTW your drivers are current[/bold]

Yep, I totally agree. Lately I've been letting the mods know, really long threads concerning logs are a real PAIN.

Thanks for the advice. Sorry about hi-jacking a thread, I didn't know I was doing that. I thought I was in a thread about illegal discs, I have read so many trying to find a solution to this problem. Are you saying a new thread should be used for each new poster and problem? Sorry for my ignorance, I am new here.

Thanks! I tried the updates but got a message saying I had a newer version already installed, I have 6.6.1.4. So I left that. But lowering the burn speed to 4X and it worked! This is a new computer and I was trying to create a bootable DVD through the manufacturer when I noticed the problem. I still can't get it to make one, probably because it does everything automatically and I can't adjust the speed. I'll take it up with them. Thanks again.

According to your log file you did NOT have version 6.6.1.4 installed, you had 6.6.0.16 installed.
The version you now have installed, 6.6.1.4 is the version that is "buggy" and it WILL cause you problems.
To revert to the more stable version of 6.6.0.18 you will have to
    1. Uninstall
    2. Run clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html
    3. Install 6.6.0.18 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
