Getting New Mobo to work

    omg i didnt even notice. OKay i plugged in the 4pin into the mobo now, im still not getting any video on the monitor but now everything is up and running when its all plugged in. Just not getting anything on the monitor.

    does the video card use extra power too from the psu

    i didnt read the whole thing so excuse me if a i repeat a qestion , but did u reinstall windows? cuase a friend had somthing of a problem a little similiar, so i told him to reinstall windows and evrything went ok , try it , oh and also if tere were cable that came with the Mobo hook them up instead of r old ones , kinda a stupid idea but it might work

    ..arriving a little late on this one. Sounds like DDP got you hooked up with the 20 pin and 4 pin from PSU to mobo. That's good and explains all your previous problems.

    Now, the agp - graphics processor must be compatible with your card; I read earlier about a 4x and 8x??

    Make sure they are compatible; Worse case, you can try a video PCI card if you are unsure. I never heard of Mercury or saw a make/model of your mobo or I would help look it up and see the mobo specs for the AGP.

    DDP, you still hanging in there??

    with a customer for 14hrs upgrading & installing windows for 2 computers
