Wondering if anyone could tell what DVD burner has the fastest write speeds to R and RW. Also I have an older system, ( 700mhz Celeron, 318RAM, 40 Gig HD). Is this suffice to do some DVD burning?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe the fastest DVD burners out there now are 4x in either dvd-r(w) or dvd+r(w) but burning fast is not recommended for error free dvd's anyway. Until recently I was doing DVD's with a 450mhz Pentium, Windows 98, and 128RAM without a problem (although very slowly) so I'm sure you can do it with your current setup if you have space on the harddrive and lots of time.
