Getting the Link the PS3 uses to download demo's Possible threw a PC?

Im wanting to download demos threw my pc not the ps3 and i was wondering is there anyway i could find the linkl the ps3 uses to download it and download it on my pc?

Im currently on dial up because they refuse to exspand the highspeed to where i live. So i have my PS3 and xbox 360 ran threw my pc to access the xbox live and ps3 online stuff for game updates and such. i was wondering since its going threw my pc's shared connection maybe i could monitor what sites it is accessing? id love to get some help on this and id post links for everyone if someone could help thanks.

 

Even if you could get a download link *which you can't, because updates are handled by a dialogue started between your console and the update server, not a link*, it wouldn't be of any use, because you still wouldn't be able to get it to your PS3 or xbox, unless they where modified.
Now with an xbox, that wouldn't be a problem, but the ps3 will take a while...

 

Actually i know someone who was able to get the link the ps3 uses for firmware update which is show here when they go up on the playstation network..... http://dus01.ps3.update.playstation.net/update/ps3/list/us/ps3-updatelist.txt what i want is to be able to find the ps3 demo links. Also theres a program that lets u tranfer files to the ps3 from the pc. BTW how do you download them with the 360? i didnt know u could?

 

I won't help you with the xbox 360 question, because i'm too lazy, and we have a forum dedicated to questions like that.
I think there's even a thread about moving content back and forth between the xbox 360 and your pc.

As for the ps3 link, that is a reference file for your ps3 to determine if it needs to contact the update server and dowload anything.
It's not a link of sorts to the software or the server itself, if you look at the link, you can see what i mean.
Not to mention anything that's not a ps3 won't be able to connect to the proper server, so again, it would be useless even if you had the info.

 

I used that link it shows to get the Update before it ever was release on there site. i just copyed the http://dus01.ps3.update.playstation...602a1373cf1845d56348698d7037ab1b/PS3UPDAT.PUP out of the PS3 link and it let me download the ps3 update put it on usb drive and update my ps3. Even tho it was not on there site yet.

 

That's odd, considering sony insists that only ps3's can connect to their server...
I guess their sysadmins are sleeping on the job, as usual.
