ok i went and got the arctic silver stuff (luckily radio shack had it) and i moved it in front of my window and moved the box fan into the window (blowing outside) to suck out all the hot air and i took the fan off the stock heatsink and rigged it to the back with duct tape and took a mini fan and put it in the front of the case although im not sure if that ones doing much....but my temsp are still pretty much the same they went down a lil there now its at like 61c. this becoming such a headache
Can we see a pic of the whole thing that you rigged up? It's probably because you took the fan off the heatsink. In the bios lower your CPU coltage to 1.1 and check the temps again.
i mean like the new heatsink still has its fan i took the fan off the old heatsink that came with the cpuso this is the new set up. and will the cpu be able to handle the overclock with lowered voltage?
That should be fine for your overclock. If not try a little higher next time. Remember if it doesn't boot don't freak out, just take out the battery and put it back(The CMOS battery on the motherboard, tell me you know what it is to make sure) and try a little higher. BTW no offense but that case is abominable, consider getting a new case. If you do we can help you out with that too.
lol i would love to get a new case but im so broke for money i dont think i can afford one...not to mention the check engine light cam eon in my car and i owe so much other money so ill hold off for now but thanks for all the help everyone EDIT and yea i know bout the battery i pull that thing out a lot lol, and what kinda case would u reccommend? EDIT:lower the voltages worked wonders idle is 40c and load is about 50c i even managed a tiny more oc im now @ 2.61GHz
