good laptop under $1000

Does anybody know where i can get a descent laptop with a good battery life for under $1000 Canadian??

and look at the reviews: I believe the Dell Inspiron 1200 is a great buy for reliability, price and quality under $1000.

this laptop's pretty nice but 10% over the budget, but it's worth it.

Yeah, I know dell is considered an evil word in tech circles, but their laptops have all the basics and are some of the best that you'll likely get for about a 1000.
