Hello guys and gals, I would like to make a few backups of audio CD's that I have purchased over the years. I have had to buy a few Neil Young CD's on more than one occasion from them being scratched beyond repair. Anyways, what program would you guys recommend that will make exact(if possible) backup audio CD's. I'm not looking to compress or anything just make a backup. Thanks, Lunarist
well exact audio copy is the best for extracting perfect music, which you can then re-burn heres the pick of the links to get you started http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/cd-da_extractors/exact_audio_copy.cfm http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/199248 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/183249 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/66669 there are many more should you get in any bother, just type 'exact audio copy' in the search
if you can, find yourself an older version of clone CD (3.4 and earlier). Those do TRUE 1:1 copies of CDs. If not, any burning program like nero can make CD copies, as long as their not copyrighted. If they are, then use EAC as lethal suggested. Rip them as WAV, then burn to audio CD.
