Is there any way to preserve the quality of your movies when you burn them onto a disk. I have a lot of movies that play nice and clear on my computer, but not when I put them on a disk. Any good programs that could help me out? Also how do you combine two movie files into one single file?

It sounds like these are downloaded movie files. If I'm right then they are probably AVI files. They need converted to proper dvd format. Any time you convert an AVI or similar file you will loose some quality. It all depends on how good the original files are. I like Nero Vision Express with will convert those files and also let you put 2 on one dvd disc, depending on total size.
If these files are straight from a dvd to HD, then the quality loss should not be enough to notice if using good quality blank media.
