    Hi Kemisti,

    I got same problem as Pronney's and followed your instructions (thanks for it)to delete the infect files. After deleting I had log file but I don't understant what it means. Also I used Hijackthis software but it asked me to ask someone to click some files to delete. If you check my logs below and tell me what to do I would be thanfull for it.

    Hi Kemisti,

    Thanks for your interest.

    My F-secure antvirus program identified "not-virus:Hoax.Win32.Renos" infection but can not take an action for it. My scan results below,

    it was alarming again by the F-secure but after renaming the file by F-secure program the virus (not-virus:Hoax.Win32.Renos.cz - A0005794.DLL) has become passive. However, although I tried to update the windows 5 times it is still failing and flashing at the right bottom bar. I think it is important update but I don't know what to do?

    Also, when I deleted registry by SmitFraudFix v2.41 my desktop theme changed. is it normal?

    Cheers,

    Refik

    @rdemirci:

    Just find and delete that file -> A0005794.DLL

    Desktop change is normal, yes. You can change it back from Control Panel -> Themes

    As for the update issue, try to disable automatic updates and manually go to windows update.

    @ahoy2007:

    Only bad thing is Warez P2P Client, which is spyware and should be removed. Use Ares instead if you want to use similar p2p program.

    As for other software/hardware related problems, I think that you can find better people here to answer :)

    Hi -kemisti-,

    I'm getting messages from McAfee Antispyware of an unwanted program "Adware-MWS". I believe it somehow got on my computer when I was installing smileys on yahoo messenger. Please help. Thank you.
