Hey Guys/Girls, Looking to upgrade my GPU in early December. I've posted the specs of my system in the photos. I would love to just go buy an RTX3090 but I don't think the rest of my system would keep up. I've set a budget of £300/400 and I'm happy to buy a used card if it means I get more bang for buck. Any help is very much appreciated as with all the vast number of card to currently chose from is a bit overwhelming Dave
what is the total wattage your psu can handle as you supposedly need at least 650 watts? https://www.game-debate.com/hardware/index.php?gid=5005&graphics=GeForce RTX 3090
Your mobo uses PCIe v3.0 for the graphics card. Make sure you get one that supports that for the best graphics. Here's a starter place to look- https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100007709 600286742
rx580 is quite a capable card imo, you could go for either a 5700xt or a radeon 7 on your budget, assuming your psu has a decent wattage (I had a 5700 in a 550w less than the recommended but it worked fine) they're both ddr6 and hbm2 so a good upgrade on your current setup. nvidia side you have the rtx2060 or rtx2070 (prob 2nd hand for the budget) do a compare on these models and see what tops the list/suits your needs
