This should be a simple one. I want to be able to grab only a certain part of a song, mix it with parts other songs or just use it as a 15 second loop or something. This will be for DVD Menus, sub-menus, etc. Any good sw out there to download for this? I have mp3, audio cd, wav, and wma formats I want to do this to.

    Does Nero 5.5 do this?

    Thanks,_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Eric- HP Pavilion 7975, 80GB HD, 768 Ram, HP DVD-Writer 200j[/small]

If your source is mp3 and you just want to cut and paste parts in a row, you should use mp3directcut -> no quality loss due to re-encoding. If your source is uncompressed (and wma - I don't think something like wmadirectcut exists), use some wave editor. If nero's is not enough you could try Audacity (free) or some trial version of Cool Edit or Soundforge. If you can't get the programs mentioned at www.afterdawn.com software section google will know.
