gotta check out Pink Floyd then solargame. Very talented band that focused mainly on instrumental talents.

It burns my eyes to see Linkin Parka and Green Day mentioned in the same sentence. Green Day is my absolute favorite band and is hands down one of the best rock/punk bands of all time. But Linkin Park on the other hand is nothing but a bunch of losers who still think the whole rap/rock genre that limp bizkit started is cool. every song of their's soungs the exact same with the stupid electronic intros and and record scratches. it really boggles my mind how a band like linkin park has gotten so popular...

yeah iam with ya dicoop linkin park doesnt belong in a rock and roll thread anyway . i never really got the rock/rap thing either if your a rock and roll band play ROCK dont mix rap in with it ,but i guess some of the newer bands thing they have to do that to get the kids to listen to them . bands like that NEVER stand the test of time

You really are an uneducated person, music-wise. I don't know how old you are, but I would suspect that you are in the 5th or 6th grade, so hopefully, you will be forced to take at least one musical appreciation class, before they let you graduate.

yes I agree. if all you are into is that non-talented genre known as rap, thats fine. but respect where music came from, and give the needed respect for artists who paved the way for genres like rap, pop, and even hip hop.

gotta respect Korn what they've done, even if most of their real path-paving was years ago.

Head left the group because he "found Jesus" as he said. he remains friends with the members of Korn, but while Jon, Monkey, Fieldy, and the drummer (name suddenly escapes me) wish him the best, Head has gone off to pursue a career in ...*shudders* christian rock. maybe he'll do something cool.

imho, their best song was "Lies" (from teh original album), and their most hardcore might be "Ball Tongue" (also from the first album). i have all but 1 of the Korn albums (getting it soon), and i listen to them regularly. something about jon davis's voice relaxes me, no matter how angry and violent the music gets. nothing i've ever listened to can relax me more than a few Korn songs.

[bold]WOW![/bold] I never thought members from type of rock band like Korn would turn to christian rock...thats pretty crasy. Jesus must have spoken pretty damn loud to him. hey btw, what does imho stand for (stupid question I know...)

it all goes to my theory that anyone who's truly searching will find god (but i'm not taking this down a religious path so that ends now) lol.

imho = in my humble opinion

The GREAT northwest bands like them alot
    Soundgarden
    Pearl Jam (Mother Love Bone)
    Mudhoney
    Alice In Chains
    Temple Of The Dog
    Nirvana
    Candlebox
    Stone Temple Pilots
    Melvins (nirvana fav. band) BTW

all of it was like a breath of fresh air when it hit in the late 80s
and it was the Death Nail to the "hair bands" of the 80s

too many great tracks of theirs to choose from. However "i, alone", lightning crashes, waitress, top, dolphin's cry are particular faves. In fact i think there's hardly any of their album tracks that i don't like. i'd imagine their concerts are phenomenal
