Growing up...there was always that ONE game!

[bold]LET'S TAKE IT BACK TO THE OLD SKOOL!!!![/bold]

    Hey kool kats! ;)

So...I was thinking about this, since I remember that indienemo thread about Runescape.

Now, I know there is a VAST majority of ages here on aD, so this question goes out to all those who know what I am talking about.

Nostalgia is a great thing...from remembering a song that you knew back in high school, to riding your first bike, to...well I'll leave it at that for now.

But here is the question...what was that ONE game that you remember playing and you would always play it even if it is like decades old?

    Here's mine...

[bold]Maximum Carnage for the SNES[/bold]! Dammit...talk about a tough @ss game! Still wearing a band aid from the wounds!

    ;P

    Enjoy!

BTW...PS2 and Xbox games do not count! LMAO!!! Oh yeah, and if you want to put a screenshot of the game, that would be cool!

I think Pong was the greatest. A lot of you young folks may think that's stupid but that's because you've never known life without video games. Imagine a world that never had mass produced, inexpensive consoles and how cool it was when the first one hit the market. It doesn't get any more old school than that.

I would have to say Ultima IV was the game for me. It kept track of your moves and by the time I completed it I had made over half a million moves. Every keystroke counted as a move, but still that was a lot of gameplay.

River Raid was another of my favorites. I played it on the Atari 800 20+ years ago. I still play it occasionly with the Atari800Win emulator.

I have two, both for the ColecoVision (which btw, was Way better than any of the atari systems, but just didnt have the game catalog as atari). They are the Smurfs and Popeye. They have versions on other systems, but not nearly as good as the Coleco version.
