Blades of Steel was so damn cool...remember those cheesy fights that happened when the other guy pissed ya off, and when you lost, they crowd booed you! LMAO!!!
Also loved that game, til my bro's smashed it to bits while tryin to insert it and then blamed it on me Ah well *sigh*.
yeah that was great, I remember me and my friends would skate around in circles bumping into each other just so we can get into those fights. The theme song for Blades of Steel was great too! We used to do almost the same thing with "bases loaded" I thing it was the on NES baseball game that had fights in it. we used to beam like 50 guys in a row just to see a dude rush the mound.
I suppose my favorite game growing up was probably Monopoly. Video games were years in the future. My kids liked Pong when it came out, though. I used to set it up so that the ball would bounce back and forth between the paddles endlessly. That would drive our cats crazy trying to catch it. Dave
Monopoly for me, too Forkndave. Careers was pretty good too. My first video game was included in the Intellivision console that I bought in 1981, I think. Astrosmash was the game.
@ venom did this thread come from that chat we had on ad buddies? Well if it did heres the game that started it off.... Civilization for the old Amiga posibly the greatest game known to mankind. Build up a colony then rebel - and you got to fight the indias aswel, deosnt get any better. There was also an amazing kung-fu game on the same system and you could turn the speed up really fast, the sound effects were straight out of bruce lee- i remeber me and my mates playing it as youngsters : ) if anyone can remember the name of this game let me know.
Spy hunter for the NES was great too. It had an awesome soundtrack. It is so funny, games nowadays have complete scores made for them, but most of them cant beat some of the songs of some of the OG games.
I have got to say Earthbound/SNES , the best, also the first zelda/NES .....love those games still play them both my kids would agree also

I enjoyed Texas Instruments PARSEC space game. I would sure like to get a PC version but I don't think there is one. Good first person shooter. Thanks ED
I was addicted to Street Fighter 2 for years. When it came out on super nintendo I was addicted for about a year. Sure beats all the money i use to spend in the arcade. I loved that game and I still would love to play it. It was such a good game. I also loved aerobiz 1 and 2. To control a whole airline was such a good premise of a game I would love to try and find it again to play it. It was such a good game. I also loved this WW II game that had the us pacific fleet go against the Japanesse. I was more addicted to that game then any other in history. Maybe something like 2 years I played it for. It went day by day and could go for like ten years and was very slow in turns.
I was more of a kick off fan than a sensible soccer.. 1 game I loved, and still play today. Battle isle.
C64 - Raid over Moscow. How about using Central Point software (I think it was called) to copy protected games.
Let's see, the original 'Mario Bros.' for atari was loads of fun. For some odd reason, 'ExciteBike' for NES was always a blast. And for pc, 'Phantasmagoria' blew me away when it came out.
I actually remember playing pong, pacman, and other great classics. You look back then, and you look at the games now and you will be amazed.
