    Hi MNkrew,

Those solutions were just a copy of the ones provided by videoras troubleshooting section. They are not created by me.

    Sorry :(

Widescreen works the same way as it does on your TV, except now the screens smaller. If you don't want widescreen get a DVD that isn't in widescreen format. The only other way is to stretch the image and I don't remember if thats availible on Videora, I know it is on the PQ DVD Converter. This of course leads to distortion and funny looking people that look well, stretched.

Another way is to of course crop the picture but then you lose some of the sides which isn't desirable I don't think. That is an option I know is availible on the PQ DVD Converter but I'm not sure about Videora.

    Hope that helps somewhat.

I have had the same trouble with every program i have used to convert the tv shows i have downloaded from the net that are in avi form. I have read nearly every solution i could find on google.com.au and i have figured out the problem.

Im Using ImToo ipod movie converter because i have read a fair amount of forums on ilounge that it is the best program there is i am yet to agree but it is working for me.

Downlod the program from the Imtoo website search it in google

Install the program it is only trial verson so search for the regestration key on google i found it on www.seriall.com

On the help drop down menu click enter regestration key and enter your name and the key

Now you have the full version

Click add and find the video file you want to encode

it will come up with a summary of the bit rates and ect next to the viewing screen now this is the key into getting insync audio find what exact audio bit rate it is 128,107, 256kbps and find out what exact fram rate it is most american stuff is 23.98fps

click once on the file to higlight it and now go acoss to where all the settings and bit rates for the new encoded files is

Note: the file must be highlighted to change them

Click fram rate box it should say automatic and enter whatever the fram rate is of the file

Click the audio kbps box it should say 128kbps and enter the exact value of the original files Note: if you want less bite rate for audio type in the lesser value you want i havn't tried it yet but more than the original value makes the audio out of sync so less shouldn't effect it

this is the key to getting the audio in sync with the video

hopefully this should solve most avi to ipod out of sync problems!

    cheers!

Thanks for the response Lethal. I have been playing with Video 620 kbps at 24 fps (which is stand TV setting) and 124 kbps on the audio. I have only had problems with 1 DVD which kept producing a cracking noice with the audio. Still not sure why however. Is there a reason why you only use 15 fps?

    Thanks

How about we see a Xilisoft Tutorial on here. I would really appreciate it. Registered Xilisoft DVD to Ipod Converter Suite is what I got. I would like to see a Xilisoft Ipod to Video Converter Tutorial. Whenever I try it my audio is ALWAYS out of sync. Don't undertstand the problem. I am encoding a .mpg file.

    Thanks Again!

Fraankie I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I've had nothing but problems with Xilisoft DVD to iPod. I think PQ DVD to iPod works much better.

Second that, what zephro says. PQDVD is so much better that Xilisoft. Have a look at the guide now, because It's totally different.

    [bold]Out[/bold]
    -PSP9
    -Mac Conversions

    [bold]In[/bold]
-Improved videora (with DVD Decrypter) Guide
-Improved PQDVD guide, with more clear instructions and screenshots.

Fraankie. Have a go with PQDVD, ok. And if you still cannot get anything up and working, then i'll stick a Xilisoft guide in there aswell ;)

Really? Wow, that sucks...I mean, I guess i'll try out PQ DVD. It's just that I paid 45 dollars for the program so it just gets me ticked off..I wish there was a way for that damn Xilisoft to work. Is PQ DVD free? Or do I have to buy another program?

    Thanks again,
    Frank

PQ DVD does have a price, but I'd have to say 45 dollars is quite a bit of money for some software. I like to buy things in boxes because it makes me feel like I'm getting something.

But to *try* and help you with your problem, is your audio out of sync right off the start or does it slowly drift away from being with the video?

It drifts off as the video progesses. And I am not having problems with the DVD to Ipod..It is the Ipod Video Converter that is giving me problems. The audio is out of sync. It will start off good and then a few minutes in it fades off and gets worse and worse.

    Thanks,
    Frank

Wish I was in a position where I got nice PM's but I unfortunately havn't spent 45 dollars on the xilisoft.

Anyway. With the xilisoft I think its a lack of enough ram or having to slow of a CPU. I think the converter should really be able to take this into account, but when I run it on a shiny new computer it seems to work just fine. Anyone else notice anything similar to that?
