Hey im new to this thread and i have a problem with my ipod video. I followed all the tutorials on converting the dvd with dvd decrypter and then using the videora converter to convert it to mp4 format. I then go into itunes and select the video which i converted and put it in there and then i update my ipod. The movie plays in itunes but when i go to view it on my ipod itself, a black screen appears for a minute and then it goes back to the main menu. The video wont play on my ipod no matter what i do. If anyone can help me out or if i need to change settings please let me kno. This has been driving me crazy. thanks.

elgad, does this happen with all the videos you try, or is this the only one?

It happened on all the movies i have tried. I tried changing settings and nothing seems to work. I even uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it to see if that would work.

I havn't encountered the problem, do you have the latest iPod software? I've had that happen on my iPod before but the screen would be black for closer to 5-10 seconds and would work after I went back to the video again. Hasn't happened in quite some time though.

I bought the full version of PQ DVD converter awhile ago and was wondering if anyone was having problems with the sound? For example, when I would play the movie on my ipod, everything would be working great, but then all of a sudden there were be a "crackle" in the headphones and the sound would get extremely quiet and then it would gradually go back to a normal sound level. Is this due to the headphones or is it the file? Has anybody else experienced this problem? Thanks for your help.

Has this happened with many videos that you have converted/watched? It could just be a one-off.

What do you mean your 'WMA`s'? WMA is a type of audio, not video..

Hi there.. i just recently bought a 30GB video ipod and i am having a little bit of trouble getting videos onto itunes. I use Videora to convert my videos into .mpeg4 and once that is complete i drag it into itunes. When i try to play the video only audio plays and no video. I find this strange because the computer is telling me it is a video file even after it is converted. Can anyone help?

Lethal, It seems to have happened with numerous videos i've copied. Is there a certain sound setting that the ipod cant handle? could it be the codec I'm using?

I doubt it very much, but I would make sure you have all the latest codecs installed. Are you using iPod version 1.1? Recently, there has been nothing but problems with the new firmware, especially rgarding video..

Well, I recommend you downgrade. Many have found that downgrading solved the video glitches ;-)

i know, thats why you convert them.
but when i convert them the audio dosnt match the visual part.
all i was saying was that those are mostly the type of files that i have the problems with.
