Ok, so I have found that it is probably that firmware version causing the headache and that I need version 1.0. Do you know where I can go to get information on downgrading my brand new ipod? If you do, I owe you a beer!

I don't think his question was how to convert DVD's either.

Denn, have you got it working?

o I also remember someone asking but I can't find where the message is. What do you do if the video plays faster than the audio? it just speeds ahead while the audio is going normal pace

Just adjust framerate to a value (such as 24fps), convert a few minutes and stop converting, then play the ipod video files to see whether it works well or not.

Open up Videora, click setup, then go to the proflies tab. Click framerate and change it to 23.976 If this doesn't work for you then you'll probably have to try another conversion program.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to this thing called an "iPod" but I'm getting the hang of it. It seems you guys know your stuff! I'm sure I'll be back with more questions eventually.

I'm trying to use PQ DVD, but my DVD doesn't even open when I click open. ?

when I put the DVD in, I get the message access violation at address 00406797 at module 'PQDVD_Ipod.exe' Read of address 0000000

I've tried a second DVD, but won't open when I click open file or the open button on the left. I'm afraid I'm so dumb I can't even get past the first direction

    guys - in particular lethal,
the threads i have been lurking through on this site have been remarkable, and i cannot thank you enough.
i can now rip videos easily to my 5th gen ipod (using videora) and can retrieve music from my ipod back to my pc (or someone elses' for that matter).

thanks a bunch, and keep up the fantastic work.

    cheers!

Hey guys I'm back for more help :) I was wondering if it was possible to rip mpeg4 with subtitle files. I have a few movies in a different language and I have .srt files, but I don't know if it is possible to convert it with the .srt. If there is such a program and someone hook me up? :)

    Xilisoft Video ipod converter

i converted a 700mb DIVX MOVIE file to 173 MB and i kept a really good quality! (once on the ipod)

its awesome, so what if its $15, its excellent!!!!!!!!!
