Hi There. As I hate Windoze and use Mac and Linux, Do you know of a program for Linux that will convert Video (any/Most formats) to the video ipod?

Had a google and couldn't find any at the moment.

    TIA

    Andy

well so far only the Videora ipod Converter has worked for me but even this has caused a problem. so far the sound is out of sync but im working on a few different settings to see if i can find a solution so il keep you posted.

why couldnt apple just make it easy eh? i tried encoding with QT Pro 7 and it took so long i gave up in the end!! great to release a product with cool features but no support, way to go Apple.

Cheers, Neph. [edit] not stickied :(

Haha, second that! Even though I added the quicktime pro into my guide, it is another of many gaffes from apple! It is really slooow!

Keep working at the videora, it is probably the pick of the bunch. Eventually, you will find the perfect settings to be able to optimise your video playback ;)

ok well i seem to have got 2 out of 3 vids in sync now so it seems to be imrpoving!! also came accross something a bit odd too. the ipod wont accept files with long names for some reason. i spent a few mins trying to add a file to the library and only when i shortened the name would it add!! so keep the file names short and sweet people :)

press the 'prtsc' button (above the 'insert' button) then go into paint and click paste. done :)

Wjason777 - I belive you have some sort of error, but not related to the video's you are making. You seem to get an error with everything....What codec packs do you have? can you play .mp4 on other media players?
