Nw Shinraboy Are you sure your itunes is set to automatically update your iPod when you hook it up to your PC?
@ lethal I have fix the problem, i had the the files set to open with quicktime, but my quicktime didnt had the right codec, so i change the file to open with windows media player, and now i can put movies in itunes.
Hi, I have recently bought a 30g video ipod and have downloaded movies via Videora Ipod Converter, what i wondered is..... how long should i expect my fully charged battery to last if i am watching a movie on my ipod ?? I have downloaded several music videos and my battery seems to only last for about 5-6 of them ? The battery seems to charge to full in about 2 hours via mains adaptor. Does it sound as though there is something wrong with the battery/ipod ?? many thanks !!!! Glen (a newbie to the site)
Welcome, Glen When you say 'charged to full', does it actually say 'battery charged' or do you disconnect it when the battery icon is full? if so, I recommend charging overnight. If not, I would reccommend sending it straigt back as you probably have a bad battery. Lethal
hey, im pretty sure i have the thread title ULTIMATE copywritten! New guide is looking good, keep up the good work.
Lol, I thought Kwon had it copywirtten!! Well, you know what happens to copyright thieves!! :O Cheers mate, And the same to yourself! Nice sig BTW Lethal
Hi Lethal, Thanks for the warm welcome !!!! No, the battery definitely says 'fully charged'. It was odd because when the ipod arrived the battery was fully charged then but seemed to run down fairly quick. I think i should get more than 5-6 music videos out of one battery charge ! Sending it back seems the only option but i dont wanna wait another 2.5 weeks for a new one !!! Do you know whether Apple Ireland would just replace the battery or the whole device ? many thanks, Glen
Ah, well next time you get any battery operated device, I would reccommend putting it straight on charge! 24 hours if possible, just to make sure it is full of energy ready for full usage. They will change the battery for you, free of charge. But in your position, I would push for a new one. Because wouldn't want it to be tampered with....just means something else is more likely to go wrong further down the line. It is entirely up to you, but either way, you won't have to pay Good Luck Lethal
I hear a rumor that if you charge a battery when it is already half-way full the battery will be limited to that measure only, is that true?
--lethal please help me out! im a windows users and have tried all the programs to convert my movies to mpg4 format.the programs all work and they all convert my videos to the mpg4 format with no audio lag or anything..when i open the converted file in my itunes the file loads and plays with no errors on my itunes..my problem is when i update my ipod the videos never go onto my ipod?what can i do??
yes..because when i add mp3s to my itunes it automatically updates my ipod..it just wont update my ipod with the converted videos
Hmmm, that's stange. What did you use to convert your video to your iPod? Another thing you should check is, when you plug in your ipod, right click your ipod and click 'ipod options' then click on the 'ipod' tab. Make sure it is set to auto update [bold]video[/bold] as well as music etc, ¬Lethal
Nope, that is rubbish. Though the quality & efficiency of the battery is said to decline throughout use, this theory is totally incorrect
