Lethal B, I am confused!!! I was simply trying to find a way to get DVD video to my iPod and now I am looking at PQ DVD (which doesn't seem to work- same problem as mentioned here), Cucusoft, samrtripper, DVD to AVI, XviD, and AnyDVD, and now Super DVD to Ipod converter and AVS video converter. Any advice on what to choose?? duny
Lethal, Videora and PSP after installed on my pc will refuse to open. Are there any other easy programs out there???
Shinraboy- When you sat 'refuses to open', what do you act mean? does it get to a certain stage then close? will it run? What Version of windows are you using? (assuming you have windows) duny- Cucusoft is also a very good program. Please check the guide of [bold]dkmopq[/bold] as he covers that program in his guide
Hey, I'm having a hard time finding more info on video skipping. I have PQ Dvd to iPod Converter (purchased), and the finished video plays in great quality and audio, and they're in sync. However, the video plays on the iPod with skips, its jumpy, consistently. I own the 60GB 5G iPod. I've tried the 25 and 24 fps settings. Can anyone help me get it to run smoother? What would the settings need to be to be good quality (not just acceptable), and run without skips? Please help.
lethal, nevermind, it just did'nt work on my older pc. BY THE WAY: IM NOT ADVERTISING!!!! SONY sent me a flyer and a new program just came out thats LICENCED BY SONY called PSP MEDIA MANAGER. It's $19.99, one-click divx conversion too.

Shinraboy, I was not accusing you buddy, just making sure ~ some spammers are real sneaky ~have you tested it? ~if so, is it any good for iPod Videos?
@ lethal You can never be too careful My brother has tested it for ipod, he says it's easier and works pretty well if you pick at it a bit, (i dont know what he means by pick at it though.......) i trust him.
@ Lethal Hey, im ordering another DOCOMO P900iV that plays quick time (mpeg)videos, would all this conversion work on it??? It looks like this when playing videos. note that its like 0.5 in wider than ipod video but smaller by around that same amount than PSP. Any ideas man?
If it plays quicktime movies, Then i'd recommend using quicktime pro to convert the movies. does it not play mp4 videos or 3gp videos? thats what phones usually play..
I wonder if someone can help me...I have the full version of PQDVD, works fine with pre-recorded, bought DVD's but will not open DVD RW's that I have recorded from the tv? my Windows Media Player (version 10) also does not recognise the DVD RW's and says that there is no disc in Drive F? really cant work out why this is...anyone got any ideas as would love to put some of my fave TV shows on the video ipod?? I have a Sony VGN laptop that has integrated DVD +/-RW drive
What media do you use for the DVD discs? Did you make them using just a conventional DVD Recorder? Lethal
Thanks for your response...I am using TDK DVD-RW discs and I have a Pioneer DVD/R/RW recorder...I can view them via InterVideo player, but not Windows Media...weird??
Hmmm, if your PQDVD doesn't recognize the dvd, I can only really suggest an alternate program. Have a look here http://www.engadget.com/2005/10/14/how-to-convert-a-dvd-for-your-ipod-with-video-in-windows/ It is a guide entitled [bold]HOW-TO: Convert a DVD for your iPod (with video) in Windows[/bold] Good luck, and if you do try it, please let me know how you get on
Thanks for that...but do you not think its strange that windows media player says that the DVD RW does not exist in my drive..ie, doesnt recognise it? I think, if the media player worked, the PQDVD would?
Lethal, maybe you'll address my question this time since you seemed to ignore it last time I posted. I recently purchased the PQDVD software which was posted on this forum. I'm assuming that this is your software, but I could be wrong. Is it possible to stretch the widescreen movies to fully fit on the screen of the iPod using this software? Everytime I try and use the stretch feature it seems to create an error and close the program down. Otherwise, I like the program and it has worked fine.
