I have a problem with converting DVD's, I noticed someone else asked this question but there wasn't an answer I don't believe. The sound in most of the movies I've converted [with PQ DVD to iPod Video] is a little ahead of the actual picture. Could that be my computer's to slow to convert the video at the same pace as the sound? Usually I don't have the problem for the first few segments I convert, but as I get to the fifth or sixth one the audio is a good three seconds off. Very bothersome when trying to watch a speech. Thanks for any help you have to offer.
Dear people Im sure this was probably answered earlier in the post, i just feel like looking for it. I was wondering if this conversion works on all Limewire videos. I am getting a 5th gen ipod for the holidays, and I heard online that ipod will not accept videos from limewire that have a copywright, is this true. I want to know because we cant return it if I open the box. Please lemme know as soon as possible. -sincerly Jo
DarkJello - Neither myself nor dkmopq have managed to find a solution to the audio lag thing, i'm really sorry. But all I can suggest is that you try using another software. Have a look here, buddy. http://www.engadget.com/2005/10/14/how-to-convert-a-dvd-for-your-ipod-with-video-in-windows/ avegadro - Limewire video's will work on the ipod once they are converted appropriately. I have yet to come accross any videos on limewire that have copyright protection, as they rarely do, so you should be fine. As for you, nolec5 [bold]you really think i'm gonna answer to that?? FYO this is not my software, none of it is. I am doing this voluntarily in my freetime. You need to work on the way you address people who are helping you out.[/bold]
hey, i used psp video 9, but i cant import the files into itunes. when i click inport and go to the folder, nothing shows up. under the "files of type:" it says Text files (*.txt). i can only change it to "mxl files" and "m3u files" but nothing shows up. i also tried draging the files and the videos window but it dosnt work :-\
I know if you want to drag the files in, you have to drag them into your library window, not the videos one.
Glad to help.... Anyway, with the website you suggested as an alternative, which I tried first. I get a warning message ASPI not available, DVDx won't be able to unlock DVD drive to read file bigger than 2GB. (Check for ASPI driver update at www.adaptec.com) Do you want to continue without ASPI? Now, I've tried going to the website to find the ASPI (I have no idea what that is to tell you the truth) and I can't recall if I found it there or not. Could you possibly shed some light on this for me? The Xilisoft Video Converter works flawlessly for other files I have converted with it. Thanks for the help
hey, thanks for the help, i got it to work. the only thing now though is that i have 24 videos, and in 12 of them, the music is not in sync with the video =\ thanks again
Sorry buddy, but neither myself nor dkmopq have managed to come up with a solution to the synching problem. All I can suggest is swiching programs ~ sorry. merry Christmas y'all
hey, i was wondering what is happening when i am converting a .avi/ and more other files with psp video 9, why it says conversion complete or whatever and then when i copy it to psp it says "file in use" not sure what im doin wrong here
I apologize, it was my understanding that this was your software, which is why I was upset the first time that you ignored my question. Again, I apologize.
wolfx12- sorry, I don't know anything about the PSP. nolec5 - no worries. When I get a moment I'll go back & have a look at your question(s)
hopefully someone stumbles across my question i just got this psp and i wanna put some south park on it lol
I seem to be missing something. Please advise. I just upgraded to quicktime pro. My objective being able to transfer a movie from a dvd to my new ipod video. Now when I get to the step (on your tutorial) of opening file, I can't seem to find the moviethough it is sitting in my dvd player. Am I supposed to copy it to my computer first even before I try to use quicktime pro and itunes to put it on ipod? if so do I need another program to copy dvd to my hard drive (file). What software do I need? Thanks
i actually have kinda a weird problem. when using PSP video 9 and videora i get the same problems where i click on a video to convert, and it does it in 2 sseconds, without actually doing anything at all! and i can't even get quicktime movies to work (.mov) even tho i hear they are supposed to work on ipods terribly sorri if im just missing something obvious
Well I am new to this forum and I need a bit of help...I know very very little about Ipods but I need a good MP3 player for the gym and runs etc. I hear the Ipod is a good machine but I also hear that they sux ass as well. Anyways I was wondering DO YOU HAVE to use Itunes when putting songs on your IPOD....just so you know I am soooooooo against paying for internet music its sick so this is a crutial question for me. Thanks
You more or less have to use iTunes, but you can put music you've downloaded by other means and put it into iTunes. Not to huge a problem. I like my iPod quite a bit, quality piece of work. If your getting one for the gym I'd suggest a nano since they use flash memory, instead of a harddrive. Hardrives have a tendency to break when there jostled around a bit.
Hey its me again. I don't know if this helps, but in really big movies, like 2hrs+, I put the frame rate at 27.97. Thats 2 frames less than usual, and it seems to go just fine. Plus it takes less space. Oh...And I went to another forum about iPods and they needed help, so I directed them here. Hope you can help the Lethal_B.
