Guide for converting flac to a lossless format that works with iTunes?

    Hi.

    I looked through all of the guides and searched for the term flac. I could not find a guide for converting flac files to other lossless formats that iTunes will accept.

    Can anyone help?

    try ALAC. It is Apple's codec for lossless. Foobar2000 may, with some plugins, be able to convert flac to that for you.

    Install the Xiph QuickTime component:

    Then you should be able to open the FLAC files in iTunes, and to use iTunes's ALAC encoder.

    If you are on Mac, use the xACT X Audio Compression Toolkit to convert the flac files to Apple lossless.
