is it a monitor or a flat screen if its a monitor it sounds like it could be the tube ?? if they have one I dunno if they do just know with tv's thats how you tell a tube is on the way out
yeah thats a sure sign of the CRT on it's way out. usually you only get a black border and it grows with time. I've never seen one do it "all of the sudden" like that, but i'm it's possible.
