HALO 2 MODDING tutorial - NO EMAIL addresses or instant banning

hi i just needed to know if there is a way to put the maps on the harddrive but use the actual game disc to play cause i have failed at every attempt to swap the hard drive and with the 1.4 gb cache(..) drives i dont have room especially with my roms and videos and music and stuff
any way or am i gonna have to get the new hdd?

have you tryed just puting everything from the dist to your hardrive besides the singleplayer maps.

 

If you want to swap it, there are plenty of tutorials.

I got a 80gb Seagate one, works fine.

I used evo to unlock and lock it, DOS seems to crash for me when I try.

 

well ive tried stuff some stuff.i tried chimp and i tried the pc bootdisc hdd replacer but they didnt work for me...probably just incompetence.and also i would have tried the boot disc on the xbox copying the lock info and the evox file stuff but i didnt think my xbox read burnt discs.and shadow, you mean just the multiplayer stuff right? ill try that. is there a way to make the original xbox dash work in another folder(like back on c drive) if i made a shortcut to it?

Yeah, I followed the tutorial on serveral websites, all the same, they say Copy the Meta offset of banshee into the guass or chaingun, so I did it with gauss, you then change the hlmt to gauss, instead of banshee.

I did so.
But, when I go on my coag map and go oveer to where the banshee spawns, yes, there is a turret there. but, I can't get in it

If I spawn one with the plasma pistol, and it's upside down, I can flip ot over. (it says flip over banshee) but still, I can't get inside it.

Anyone know the solution?

i have never atempted that but have you tryed the tutorials off this site there is one where some one haslike +40 tutorials i beleave that one had it in it.

 

or try xbc and talk to some modders on there thats where i got most of my info.

ps try finding some guy called XxsouthsidesoldersxX and another guy called Code.

 

yeah, I tried, I can't get in the turret, it says I can flip it when it's upside down, but I can't get in it. D=

out of intrest is everyone's Xbox connect working?

firewall off, everything, I know how to use a computer. (Linux sever woo)

I thought it was my server, so now my modem is direct. is xbox connect not working right now? or is it just me?

When I open up mainmenu.map it appears to only have 50 slots available for maps. So my question is, is there a way to add slots? or is there a way to hack the mainmenu.map to allow more slots?

I got Killotrocity v1 via torrent. It's easy to find with popular torrent search engines: torrentspy, meganova, torrentreactor, etc.
