Kennymod wrote This does not work, well it never does for me. As far as i'm aware to mod old maps on live you have to create a new disk with the modded maps on them, you will not be able to use modded maps on live off of your hard drive.
ok forget this shite im gonna figure out how to do it exactly i just need to find a 2 month so that if i get banned i wont screw up my 12 account
i have talked with some of the best old map modders[they mod old maps online] i think i would be right
I dont get what the disscusion is here. Are we wanting to know how or is it possible? I know it is possible but i want to know how.
burning halo 2 will allow you to put mods on the copied disc and kennymod no 1 knows what u are talking about unless u mean dvd burner
Guys you can't play the original maps online its not possible, If your burn it to a disc you can't fit the xbox live on files on it hence ou can't sign on, and if you have it on your HDD you can only play it with your Evox or other dashboard on xbox connect, or xlink. I don't know why you say your can play original maps on xbox live unless you mean online like xbconncet and xlink
You can mod old maps on xbl, I do it. Although it is a very long process to get it to work. You must flash your xbox dvd drive with hacked firmware and then create a raw dump of halo 2, then you can inject the modded maps, then burn it to a dual layer dvd. You will then have a bootable modded halo 2 disc which you can use to play on xbl. This is a very simple explanation.
How does this hacked firmware work i have heard of it but it seems no one knows. And no one knows how to do it.
I'm not exactly sure, I didn't research it a whole lot, just did it and it worked. It somehow must enable the drive to read backups, it may disable some kind of authenticity check or maybe the enables the drive to read and boot from the second layer. I have a tutorial I ran across if you want it.
