What do you mean what pourpose would that be. Either wat the Gravemind was gonna have his way he woulda brought him back from the dead because he is Flood and they can bring things back from the dead.
And I think that the Prophets did have shields.

The Flood cannot rejuvenate life as it was. The Flood only brings the organism partially back to life. Like zombies. That is why the Halos do not kill the Flood, they only destroy sentient life. Beings that are conscious and the flood are not. So if Gravemind did wait for the Prophet of Regret to die before teleporting him, Gravemind would only get a dead carcass and if he partially brought him back to life it would not know anything of the life that once inhabited the body it now inhabites. Other than the sake of the argument why are you people bent on the fact that Gravemind waited until the Prophet of Regret died before he teleported him? It makes no sense.

Then either you are mistake in what you heard, or the character Cortana was mistake in the game.

And we really dont know what the Gravemind can do with dead bodies. Keep in mind this isnt your average flood.

What do the halos do with sentient life?
Kill them dead, or vaporise them?

Again, other than for the sake of the argument, why are you bent on the fact that the Prophet died before Gravemind teleported him? Now we are down to giving powers to Gravemind.

All we know about what the Halos do is that it makes the organisms it kills inedible.

Well, unless you have some special connections with bungie, you really dont know what Gravemind can do. And im bent on the fact that the prophet died because I believe that he did die.

"And im bent on the fact that the prophet died because I believe that he did die."

Well that didn't make any sense. What is your belief based on? Mine are based on the abilitys of the flood which I have experienced in fighting the flood. You however are just holding on for the sake of the argumen, and just don't want to admit that you were wrong.

I really dont care if I am wrong or not, Im not here to make any one mad, this isnt an argument, its a debate. I believe that the Prophet of Regret was killed. The Gravemind did teleport him and joined with the Prophet and brought him back to life. As I said he isnt a normal flood,if he can teleport what else can he do?

BTW- Im passed the second grade I have no problem admitting that I'm wrong. I wont do this until I have solid evidence that the Prophet was teleported.

No it doesn't solve anything, thanks though. It all boils down to this, why would Gravemind wait?

That I guess we may never know? Maybe he wanted to see if Master Chief could defeat the Prophet with all of his gaurds to see if he were going to be up to the task of retrieving the index? the posibilities are endless well maybe not. lol

Yea who knows with the Flood. Now one thing thats been bothering me ever scince i met Grave Mind, is he the leader of the flood, because if he was wouldnt he order the flood not to attack Master Chief in the level where he got on the Forerunner ship, or did it back stab MC?

I am pretty sure that Gravemind did betray Master Chief, because at the start of that level Cortana, says "He used us!" (talking about Gravemind)

Hell, other than the fact that he is green, and that Arbiter calls him "Parasite" we have no idea what he is. Arbiter could have called him "parasite" just because he is green and he looks floodish. However, he is simbient, and it is hard to believe that the flood would actually have a leader. But then again they do drive ghosts and warthogs and even pelicans, so who knows.

Yea, I thought so because when he said something like
"Fate had us meet as foes, but this ring will amke us brothers" I was like wow siding with the flood, but when they started attacking I was like I think he just kicked MC in the balls.

But give the thing credit, it did manage to steal the Inamber Clad and get into the High Charity to unleash the flood.
