Hard Drive Compatibility

    I was wondering if anybody has used the seagate 80.0 gB barracuda HD. Model ST380013AR.

    I have a seagate 80gb dif serial number, but works great, locks / unlocks etc

    there is a dedicated site for hard drive compatibility with the xbox, http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com

    make sure you submit your info if you own a drive.

    I use two hard drives. I found that my new 80 GM ST380013A (not AR)will not operate as a master, with the slave being a 20 GB IBM DTLA 307020. In this configuration, the ST380013A had unbearably slow performance.

    To make them work, I jumpered them both as master, and put them on two different cables. The ST380013A on the primary cable became C: and the DTLA-307020 became D:.

    Has anyone else had this or a similar experience of HDD ?
