Hard drive for hp laptop

    I have a hp compaq nx9010 and the hard drive went bad,i want to buy a new one from newegg.my question is,does any hard drive works or do i have to buy a pecial kind of hard drive.thanks in advance.

    well there are different types of hard drives, like the size.

    You should be able to use any 2.5" hdd. Make sure it uses the same protocol (SATA, or ATA) and that the BIOS supports the size of drive you are installing.
