Hard drive problem

    I just seen hard-drive..so I thought I'd try my luck..if I'm in the wrong forum please add a link
    So here goes I find myself in need of a 2.5 hard-drive..but wow are they expensive..seems the best budget minded is a 100GIG 4200rpm higher rpm higher price [really high]..My question is 4200 fast enough for Video
    I just bought an external Portable MPEG4 Player [CSE-MG-25] IT actually looks like a exernal HDD case
    I screwed up I thought it was a standard 3.5

    Hello..YOBUZZB..Thats a good price,but that is not a 2.5.it's a 3.5..& remember size is everything..3.5 won't fit a 2.5 houseing

    Sorry about that. I didn't know you this was for a notebook. Yes, it is fast enough to watch dvd's but your read speed will greatly reduced as well as access to memory will be slower as well.

    OK Well Thanks..YOBUZZB..Time is just not that important to me any more,no matter how slow or how fast.The older U get,Christmas just seems to be a week apart,birthdays get closer,weeks get shorter
    So the seek time is really the relivant difference?..If so I can live with that,your only talking mms dif
