hard drives above 130 gig on win xp

    to solve the problem of windows seeing a large drive.. I purchased a 250gig drive that formated with maxtor.... did not see it above 137... but using Windows xp with the sp2 update and long format lets you see and use the entire drive... short format with the windows install does not. Hope that helps

    This may be true but, I have a 250 (see sig) and i can only use 232GB. This is strange but, i have 169 Free so, I am good for now. Just thought I would let you guys know.

    @Mods, sorry if i accidently already posted this, if i did tell me and i will edit this post (or the older one).
