Harddrive questions

    I have a working harddrive for a gateway laptop. I was wondering if someone could tell me whether or not I can put it into another laptop. Are all harddrives the same and do they fit into laptops the same way? Sorry if this is a stupid question, Im not too computer literate!! Thanks for any help!

    If you can get the laptop safely apart and back together, assuming they both use 2.5" drives with the same sort of cable, then I don't see why not. Windows may moan at you for "hardware changes" though!
