Hi there, If i upgrade my harddrive myself, how do I get my Xbox Live account on the new harddrive? Should I just backup the C and E drives to my PC then FTP them back onto the new drive? Or should I copy the Xbox Live account to a memory card and then copy it onto the new harddrive?

Nah if you upgrade your HDD, you will not be able to get on LIVE because LIVE scans for large HDDs now. If you do that you'll be banned.

I've only heard that from SmartXX, I play almost every day on live with a 200gb hdd (locked) and have had no problems. Do you know of anyone who actually got banned for a larger hdd?

Backing up your C and E should work.

scottas is right, I haven't seen anyone get banned for using upgraded HD's either. Just make sure to lock your new drive.

Maybe that proves to be false then. I don't play on LIVE anyway, I use XBConnect, which is free.
