techsupportguy.com helped me ( i had this exact problem)

First, go here

http://www.publicproxyservers.com/index.html

and find a proxy in your area, best to find a few since performance can vary and its best to experiment. Once you have found some addresses, go to IE, then tools and internet options, and connection, click on lan settings, then tick use a proxy server, type in one of the addresses and ports, then click ok twice, and try again.
