has anyone figured out the lacquer problem

    has anyone figured out how to safly remove the lacquer from the 1.6b mother boards

    acid or some light scrapping.

    huh lacquer? ACID r u serious. i dont even know what lacquer is....

    I'm imagining he's talking about the coating on the mtherboard....in which if you are carefull there's an acid that works great on the solder points. OR you can just scrape away what you need gone with an exacto knife. DON'T scrape too hard around the traces....I've done one bypass and I hated it.

    so are u saying there is a coating on the 1.6b motherboards like a wax or something?

    most PCB's have a protective coating that's sprayed on.
