Hey guys thanks for the reply it really helped came across another problem after my writer tried to burn this is what came up: io error device:[1:0:0]hp dvd writer 300c 9h04(e)(ata) scsi status :0x02 interpretation:Check condition cdb:28 00 00 00 00 05 00 00 01 00 Interpretation:Read (10)Sector 5 Sense area:70 00 05 00 00 00 00 12 00 00 00 00 21 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 02 03 04 05 Interpretation:logical block address out of range Read in another forum that somebody else was having the same problem and that they needed to update firmware but i tried to find an update and couldnt find one.would it be easier if i just go and get another dvd cd writer.Thanks John.Please dont close or erase this thread im kinda new to the site just looking for some help.
