It is a useful tool - I've mainly used it for pal to ntsc conversion. It's why I originally tried it. It does have alot 'nifty' little things it will do besides removing and processing junk files!

I find that very interesting. I recently posted a thread asking for good converter software that does pal to ntsc with good quality.
Binkie7 do you mind if I ask how good the conversions came out. I have tried a number of different softwares and they all converted but with a vast majority of them being jumpy and/or out of sync between audio and video. do you have any other suggestions outside of vobblanker

My results w/ vobblanker which is free where good - quality was good - no audio probs - as good as the original. The ones I have done were dvd (music footage etc) bought off of ebay. It's really the only prog I used to do it. I think Nero will do this but I never tried nero for that. Plus ripping to hd - 15 mins - vobblanker to process -10 mins - burn 10 mins - so I'll stick with this method for the few that I do.
    Hope this helps!

All I do is right click on the each of files listed under title set and click on video attrib then change from pal to ntsc. I usually receive a pop (can't remember what is says) click ok. When I have changed all the files I just click process then burn the processed files.
Here's where I got the idea to use the prog and may help some:

Now when I take the newly burned dvd and turn on anydvd to check the format it still shows as pal but will play on my standalone now.
