i have recently been having some problems burning my ps2 games.
i have a TSSTCORP DVD+-RW TS-L532 and the problem is with my burn speed and getting errors. i use to be able to burn just fine at 4x with no problems but now it never gets above 1.3x for dvds, even if its set to maximum.

As u can see its only at 1.1x at the moment and the buffer starts at 100 and then slowly counts itself down untill it hits 0 and gives me an error.--
and also the device buffer usage bounces up and down now (which it didn't use to) 30-70-40-80.......

any ideas.....this might possibly be due to the fact that i almost put my fist through my laptop once or twice when things freeze, lose at games, etc. so do u think its a hardware issure or software?? i have tried alchohol and dvd decrpyter but still get slow speeds etc..

Check and make sure all drives are in DMA mode and not PIO. If they're in PIO mode will definitely slow things down.
    Here's a guide.

    There's also a firmware update for it - DE04
