having problems with Divx

    Hi guys, I am trying to copy a divx file from my DVD rom to the HD for ripping to a SVCD and it won't let me copy it over.

    I used a different burning software to burn this divx file. I remember that I cancelled the verify option at the end of the recording session.

    And now I can't view the movie

    Can I verify the date on the CD and re burn?

    Probable Cause:
    When you burnt the CD you probably didn't finalyze the disk.
    OR
    You used Adaptec/Roxio DirctCD or something similar, so you need the program to read the CD correctly.

    Solutions:
    1. Firstly, put the CD in your burner and try to read it like that.
    2. Install your old software if the above fails.
    3. Combination of the preceding 2.

    I guess it just must be me cause I'm confused. are you ripping from a dvd or just copy from a cd to your hdd? the problem occurs on your hdd on when trying to read from the cd?
