just a little thought, not meant for flaming just putting something that ive long think of

now that blu-ray won the video market, wouldnt it make sense to have hd-dvd as a computer backup technology, obviously blu-ray wont be liking many people having blu-ray media and burners since it would be easier for piracy, so wouldnt it be nice to have the oportunity to have hd as cheap computer media? since mpaa wont give a bleep, about hd-dvd being involved on media?

I wouldn't be surprised to see HD DVD come back into the picture with movies and as a backup standard. Blu-ray spent so much $$$ paying studios for exclusives and apparently winning the media/hardware battle that they will have to charge quite a bit to recoup some of this huge investment. People will only pay so much for movies and the hardware to play them. If Blu-ray doesn't go mainstream it will have a hard time surviving as well.
