Hey everybody, recent HDTV buyer and first time poster here.

I picked up a Sony Bravia (40" kdl 40S2000) so far so good. Football and HDTV is a match made in heaven.

One problem that I've encountered is that the picture goes blank when I change from regular def to the hi def channels on my provider (which is verizon- I got thier FIOS fiber connection)

Ive got to turn the set off, then back on to get the picture.

Happens about 30% of the time.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Yeah I've noticed it too. Ever since I went from composite cables from HD box to TV, to HDMI to TV.

It only happens when I turn the HD box & TV together though.

    Could be my HD DVR.

For me to get a picture, I have to start something that was recorded on my DVR. Then stop it & exit, then the picture comes up.

    Motorola Boxes S-U-C-K !!
