HDD Overclocking?

    hi
    i have an maxtor 6 l160p0 hdd in an external freecom casing
    is it possible to overclock it?

    hi,

    in a word..no

    The speed of the hdd is the actual RPM that the disc spins at, you can make it go any faster than it is.

    when talking of overclocking a processor its a software 'overclock' ie more instructions are handled per second, you dont pyhsically speed anything up.

    ok

    i heard that you can overclock cpu,gpu and other things but i thought
    why not an hdd?
