So is there really a difference between $100 HDMI cables and $30 cables? Or is it like a lot of things where you pay for the name? I guess the question should be, is there a noticable difference btw those price points?

No, A digital signal is a Digital signal. The only thing that is worth paying for it the protective noise shielding, and gold plated ends (mostly to prevent corosion)

www.bluejeanscable.com is a good place to order cables. Don't buyMonster way over hyped, your just buying the name.

Check Ebay. I got a 6ft JVC gold plated HDMI cable that retailed for $90 bucks for $20.

if you have a bj's near you i bought my belkin hdmi cables for 24.99 and they worked just as good as the monster cables i initially bought. but look around in flyers i have seen RCA hdmi cables ar walmart for 24.99 as well. and there is no difference monster is way way way overhyped, they make great batteries though.
